Homework is an uncomfortable experience for many students. Those who find it difficult to formulate or write may even see their entire studies threatened. Because chores are just the beginning. In the further course of the academic career, the writing of much larger texts is required. Depending on the type of study, a bachelor, master or diploma thesis can reach 80 pages. Many students then want professional help.

The planning of the housework

Important: First, plan carefully, then write! This saves double work.

For all scientific papers:

Before starting, enough time and effort should be devoted to developing a meaningful structure. A topic can not be opened up with some unfounded keywords. Such a procedure does not correspond to any scientific method of working nor does it lead to the desired results. Therefore, the first step of a work is always to create a meaningful outline. From this it is already clear which question the work follows, how it should be answered and with which literature this will be done.

Anyone who simply writes straight from the start, without first thinking about a reasonable structure or a sensible set-up of his or her homework, will have twice as much work, quickly lose track of things and unnecessarily run out of time.

Psychology of the writing process

The individual chapters or paragraphs each fulfill their own function within the context of the entire text. Avoid an outline by too many irrelevant subheadings. These have their legitimacy in the digital world. Not in a scientific paper.

Some students tend to produce too much text, which later becomes difficult to condense into the desired page number. Others wonder how to fill a single page at all.

All this is not a cause for concern, but normal for the first housework texts. Nobody is born as a scientist and professional driver. As a small motivational aid, the time spent planning the work and writing provides exactly those experiences that will simplify the next paperwork – and that will come in the study.

What is expected?

Here we go:

After the initial literature has been procured, it is their evaluation. Whether the highlighter is used, the important points are written out or immediately entered into the word processor, is left to their own preferences. But make sure you find particular quotes. A detailed bibliography is also available at this point. An overview of the used works you have to make anyway.

It is important to work cleanly and efficiently: what is not directly relevant to the question of the work should be omitted. The lecturer only expects the term paper to give an overview of the topic and the related questions. More is hardly possible anyway due to the scarce number of pages. In many cases, dealing with a topic is not a royal road, but several correct approaches.

No one expects new knowledge for science and research

Homework should provide proof that the students are able to find, evaluate and use thematically appropriate scientific literature on the subject for their own work. No one expects housework to set new theories and, in principle, bring new insights. Therefore, the housework can be very descriptive and consist only to a small extent of its own conclusions. This is not a problem as long as the work stays close to the topic, the statements are properly quoted and the text is consistent.

Structure and construction of a housework

A scientific paper can basically be divided into three sections:

The construction of chores is kept very simple, also due to the small size. Additional directories for figures or tables are usually not necessary. If two or more figures / tables are still included, of course, a corresponding directory can be created. Due to the small scope of the work of 10-15 pages but also without these additional directories a sufficient overview is given.

1. cover sheet and table of contents

The cover page contains the title of the thesis (and, if necessary, information about the author, the university etcetera) and is an integral part of the housework. Immediately after the cover sheet follows the table of contents with the indication of the individual chapters incl. Numbering. With regard to the cover sheet, it is important to ensure that all additional information (besides the title of the paper) is included. How exactly the cover sheet is to be designed can be obtained from the university.

Tip from practice: Often there are special templates that can be taken over directly. This will save you a lot of work. In addition, it helps to familiarize yourself with the automatic creation of directories in word processing programs. These too facilitate the work tremendously.

2. Content / text part

The content of the work usually covers 10-15 pages and consists of an introduction, a main part and a conclusion. The main text is to be written in the block sentence, usually in the fonts Times New Roman or Arial (12pt or 11pt). Although chores are small in scope, sufficient subdivision that makes sense of the text is necessary. In most cases, the subdivision is sufficient with one, at most two levels of structure. The exact requirements may vary depending on the degree program and are usually communicated at the beginning of the processing time.

Tip from practice: First write a rough introduction, then main part and conclusion and adapt your introduction at the end to your findings. Often the writing process goes by itself in a different direction than planned in advance. Then do not be hindered by your own guidelines, but change the text so that everything fits together.

3. Bibliography

The bibliography contains an overview of all the literature used in the paper. It is important that all works used are listed without exception and that the individual details (title, author, etc.) are complete.

Tip from practice: Create the bibliography early and in detail. The usual practice at university libraries entails that books are not always available. Having to completely remove a paragraph just because you can not find the source is more than annoying.

Support from academic ghostwriters

If you are looking for help with planning, research, structuring, exposé or writing, you will find advice with fellow students or special editorial services, as offered by ghostwriting agencies. Just because chores are usually the first scientific work and offer much potential for error, it can be useful to get support from experienced academics.

The advantages for the student are obvious: In many cases, the help of an academic ghostwriter does not mean that he or she creates the complete scientific paper, but helps the students with valuable knowledge and special tips. So it is primarily about the assistance in problems related to scientific work.

Ghostwriters ensure the academic quality of a housework

A professional, academic ghostwriter provides the academic quality of housework demanded by the college. Students can fall back on a wide range of services – from finding a common topic through a copy-editing to a plagiarism check. You benefit from the extensive experience and knowledge of the author in his respective area of expertise. In addition, the expert helps with special problems such as a writer’s block.
